Its hard to believe that this little river could become such a raging torrent as it sits innocently surrounded by daffodils that have made a great recovery after being under water.
All is back to normal, the spring flowers are looking wonderful both in the garden and the fields and the grass is growing rapidly. We have move the hens from their winter quarters close to the buildings up to the orchard and they are saying thank you by laying lots of eggs. The wild birds wake us very morning now with their chorus of sound and the cockerel next door is louder than ours because he’s nearer our house than theirs.
This is my favourite time of the year.
