Went to see my surgeon today so we had an early start. First I had an X-ray but surprisingly it was a lumbar view which I queried with the technician, she told me that it was what had been asked for and could only follow directions. After waiting over an hour, I saw the consultant who sent me back to X-ray for the correct dorsal view. Really annoying as we had been waiting for 2 hours by now.
My consultant the spinal surgeon tells me he is pleased with my progress and will take out the titanium rods on the 25th February. This should ease the pain in my shoulders and neck and get me back to normal.
Now I am ready to travel.
